Long weekend!!!

Time for a weekend of festivals. We took a long weekend and camped out at one of our favorite quick getaways at the Vineyard in Grapevine. On this weekend Grapevine had a wine fest and there was a lot of wineries that had a good tasting of their new wines. There was a lot of great original art of all kind and six different stages of entertainment. There was a wine stomping contest. Just a lot of fun!

We finally arrived at our camp(Casino Queen ); Happy to be there in one piece (remember the story about the 8ft. bridge I posted earlier?) The next day we took a ride up the Arch in St. Louis. It was fantastic! While we were on top we could see our motor home.

One evening we ate in the Italian section Zia's on the hill. It was a great restaurant. Next evening dinner was at O'Connell's Pub(an Irish Pub) and the special of the night was Fish and Chips; Wonderful! Our freinds son in law had these suggestions and I have to say that he has very good taste!

Breathtaking! I almost felt like I was in St. Peters.

Time to reminisce. We had to go back to Milwaukee where Steve was stationed 35 years ago. We found the camp where the guard was very nice and let us in so I could see where Steve's offices were.
